The Acting General Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Empowerment Consortium (YEC) is set to headline the maiden Bono East Youth Conference 2026 as a guest speaker, marking a significant milestone in youth leadership development in Ghana.

Scheduled for Saturday, February 7, 2026, in Techiman, the conference will bring together young leaders, innovators, and change-makers from across the country to engage in transformative conversations on leadership, career development, and national impact.

The high-profile event is being organised by JBA International, in collaboration with YEC, and is spearheaded by the organisation’s Programs Director, Mr. Joseph Boakye Agyemang, whose leadership has been instrumental in driving youth-focused initiatives nationwide.

Representing YEC’s leadership vision, the Acting General Secretary and CEO, Mr. Marfo, will deliver a keynote address on the theme:
“Career Building and Excellence: Preparing for a Future of Impact.”
His presentation is expected to challenge participants to look beyond job titles and immediate opportunities, encouraging them instead to build purpose-driven careers anchored in leadership, excellence, and long-term societal impact.

The conference is expected to host over 250 carefully selected participants, with strong representation from the Bono East, Bono, and Ahafo Regions, as well as other parts of Ghana. Attendees will benefit from panel discussions, thought-provoking presentations, interactive open forums, and engaging activities designed to equip them with practical skills, clarity of purpose, and a forward-looking mindset.

Organisers say the partnership between JBA International and YEC promises a conference experience that is not only inspiring but transformational, with a strong focus on empowering young people to contribute meaningfully to national development.

As the conference date draws closer, anticipation continues to build among stakeholders and youth groups. YEC has reaffirmed its commitment to youth excellence and leadership development, expressing confidence that the event will ignite ambition, sharpen leadership capacity, and inspire the next generation of national and global leaders.

The organisers have been commended for their bold initiative, with expectations high for a successful and impactful maiden edition of the Bono East Youth Conference.
